Nothing but the best: Work camp chef leads Canadian team in International baking competition

A pastry chef who plans, prepares and serves food for workers at a Suncor lodge north of Fort McMurray is off to Tunisia to lead a Canadian team in an international baking competition.
Lasantha Mendis is originally from Sri Lanka and has more than 20 years of experience in the food industry. He currently works at Mount Logan Lodge, about 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.
He’s also captain of the first Canadian national bread baking team competing at the fourth Festival Intern
