NDP to add funding for displaced coal workers

The NDP is launching a $40-million fund to help Alberta coal workers. The Coal Workforce Transition Fund will be active Jan. 1, 2018. 
 
More than 1,100 workers are expected to lose their jobs due to the phase-out of coal-fired electricity by 2030.
