Mounties use CEW on man charged with assaulting a police officer

A man has been charged with several offences, including assault of a police officer, in an arrest where officers used a Conducted Energy Weapon.
Wood Buffalo RCMP were called out to the Athabasca Lodge in Fort McKay on Thursday after a complaint of an intoxicated male who refused to leave.
When Mounties arrived on scene, they arrested the male, but he avoided being handcuffed, according to a news release.
