Motorcyclist dead after striking guardrail near Gibbons

A man is dead after his motorcycle struck a guardrail near Gibbons Saturday evening.
Morinville RCMP and emergency services crews responded to the single vehicle collision at 6:11 p.m. Saturday, a news release stated. When they arrived, they found a motorcycle had collided with a guardrail at Highways 28 and 28A.
The lone rider, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead on scene.
Traffic was reduced to one lane. RCMP had left the scene just before 9 p.m.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash
