Meet the 12 mayoral candidates challenging Don Iveson

One challenger wants to build a fusion reactor outside Edmonton, another would explore year-round greenhouses and a third would start a women’s professional hockey team to save Northlands Coliseum.
Those are a few of the more original ideas coming from the 12 people challenging Don Iveson in his re-election bid for mayor. Nearly all of them they would scrap the downtown bike lanes and point to Edmonton’s challenges on key infrastructure projects as the reason they’re running.
