Man gets 10-year weapons ban, time served for possessing drugs and firearms

A Fort Saskatchewan man has been sentenced to time served and handed a 10-year weapons ban after a 2016 RCMP raid found him in possession of multiple firearms and drugs.
In court on Monday, Clayton Fortin, 48, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Court heard Fortin during a 2016 RCMP raid was found to be in possession of a 12-gauge shotgun, a Ruger 10/22 rifle, a Savage-Axis 30-06 rifle
