Local school nutrition program enjoys $10,000 gift for Canada's 150th birthday

An Alberta man has donated $10,000 to Edmonton’s Food for Thought school nutrition program to commemorate Canada’s sesquicentennial.
Food for Thought, run since 2002 by a local philanthropic group, is one of 14 hunger programs in all of Canada’s provinces and territories to benefit from an overall $150,000 donation, made by Geoff Gyles as part of his own campaign and tour, Journey to End Hunger.Gyles, 60, will be travelling across the country this month in order to raise a
