Keeping cool in wool clothing: Fort Edmonton actors cope with heat

When Mrs. Ottewell wants to beat the heat, she might soak the hem of her cotton petticoat at the well. Or, if it’s really sweltering, she’ll fill a pail with cool well water and have a foot bath.
All the while, though, she must take care not to show any ankle.  
“That would be very indecent, to have my undergarments exposed at the well,” laughed Keltie MacKenzie, who plays the Victorian-era farm wife at Fort Edmonton Park.
