Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre resigns from UCP caucus

Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre resigned from United Conservative Party caucus Friday. 
The caucus issued a one-sentence news release on the resignation.
MacIntyre sent a tweet stating he was resigning from politics to “focus on our family.” It wasn’t clear if MacIntyre meant he was also quitting as an MLA.
