Inmate in custody dies at Edmonton Institution

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is investigating the death of a 37-year-old inmate who died while in custody Monday at Edmonton Institution.
Ryan Groothuis was serving a three-year sentence for robbery and attempted indictable offence at the maximum-security facility. He had been in custody since June 19, 2017.
