Injury claims on farms rise again in 2018
Alberta’s Workers’ Compensation Board accepted 917 farm injury claims in 2018, nearly 100 more than the year before.
Of those claims, 367 received temporary disability payments, averaging 44 days of lost time and $4,580 of payouts. In comparison, 2017 saw 793 claims accepted in 2017.
