Increased classroom funding will likely have to wait for economic rebound, UCP critic says

Alberta schools shouldn’t expect more cash under a United Conservative Party government until the economy turns around, UCP education critic Mark Smith said.
The MLA for Drayton Valley-Devon was one of five men on a Saturday morning political panel hosted by the Alberta Teachers’ Association.
“If we can grow the economy at three per cent and start to balance the budget, then we can start to have a conversation about how to move forward in education,” Smith told Postmedia
