'I'm very humbled': Fort Saskatchewan-born Joshua Kutryk talks about being named Canadian astronaut
As a young boy, Joshua Kutryk looked up at a starry sky from a cattle farm in rural Alberta and dreamed about following in the path of his hero Neil Armstrong.
It’s a common enough goal for girls and boys, who hope to step foot on another planet or bound across the moon in light gravity.
But for Kutryk, those ambitions have paid off. The Fort Saskatchewan-born engineer and air force pilot was this weekend named one of Canada’s newest astronauts along with Calgarian Jennifer Sidey.
