If NHL is really concerned about player safety, it's time to bring its rule book into the 21st Century

I’m of two minds about the Connor McDavid suspension.
The hemisphere that is Oiler fan — or hockey fan for that matter — is choked that the NHL’s most dynamic talent will be held out of tonight’s important divisional contest against Anaheim Ducks, one in which an Oiler victory could see them leapfrog the Ducks into (ahem) 13th place in the Western Conference — or if you prefer, seventh in the race for the two wild card spots.
