Homicide charges laid in July west-end shooting

Homicide detectives charged a man on Friday in the July shooting death of James Joel Dunham.
Dunham, 40, was found shot to death in a Canora neighbourhood residence near 101 Avenue and 153 Street around 5:20 a.m. on July 21.
An autopsy confirmed he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Brendan Christopher Dion, 27, is facing charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm while committing an offence and unauthorized possession of a firearm in connection with the death.
