Holocaust lecture ever-relevant in face of nationalistic movements

A rise in nationalist and anti-immigration sentiments has organizers hoping more Edmontonians will take in an annual Holocaust lecture at the University of Alberta.
“The Holocaust started with that kind of philosophy, that it was ‘Germany first’ in the 1930s, and it gained momentum very fast. What was pretty innocent in the beginning turned into a massive killing machine,” said Dr. Leon Kagan, an organizer of the Toby and Saul Reichert Holocaust lecture.
