Highway 628 reconstruction west of Edmonton to begin in 2021

A 15-kilometre stretch of highway connecting Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Parkland County with Edmonton will undergo a two-phase reconstruction to improve road conditions.
Highway 628, which is about 10 kilometres south of Highway 16, has long been a concern for residents who say the soft shoulders, washboard ruts, speeding drivers and dangerous plumes of dust make driving the road hellish and dangerous.
