Health leaders urge Albertans to get vaccinated as flu clinics open

The Alberta government launched its annual influenza immunization program to the public Monday in the hopes of seeing a significant uptick in participation this season.
The province spent $12.1 million this year to obtain 1.6 million doses, which would be enough to immunize about 35 per cent of the population.
