Head Start: Newly renovated centre opens to guide preschool Indigenous students

Jayda Potts credits her time at the Mne Koodi Head Start Centre in Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation for helping her gain her language back after moving to Edmonton.
On Tuesday, Potts and other members of Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, 86 kilometres northwest of Edmonton, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Head Start program with the reopening of the Mne Koodi Head Start Centre after it underwent renovations and an expansion.
