Happy New Year's Edmonton, it is -27C outside, but relief is on the way

An extreme cold warning remains in effect for Edmonton this morning, but there is relief in sight, Environment Canada forecasts.
The mercury was hovering around -27C, with a wind chill of -40 just before 9 a.m.
However, temperatures are expected to rise to a high of -9C. Tonight’s low is also -9C.
Tomorrow, temperatures are expected to be practically balmy, with a high of -3C and a low of -10C.
