Growing Things: Shy morning glories need some tough love

Q Some of my morning glories are aggressively moving right into my kitchen window if it's open, but no blooms. The same is true for the other morning glory plants placed in a sunnier place in our garden. I've read that you need to be patient with morning glories, but the first frost will soon be here (Oct. 22), and still there are no buds visible.  What can be the reason?
