Governments fund new Peace River bridge

The federal and provincial governments will pitch in a combined $162 million to build a new bridge spanning the Peace River, it was announced Friday.
Nearly 17,000 vehicles pass daily over the existing 50-year-old bridge on Highway 2 that ties together the two sides of the northwestern Alberta town of Peace River.
