Gold Bar sewer expansion reveals 'governance issue,' says councillor

City councillors are raising questions about the secretive nature of decisions on Edmonton’s deep sewers.
The issue was flagged by neighbours around the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant, worried an internal city decision will lead to more odours and ramped up processing at the river valley site.
Now council’s utility committee is asking it to approve a motion Tuesday that could make these decisions more transparent. It would direct administration to explore options for council to
