Friday's letters: The late Sandy Mactaggart remembered for generosity

As a former Edmontonian, it was my privilege to have the late Sandy Mactaggart as a dear friend.Sandy was generous, but kept gifts private. A woman once told me he owned the apartment complex where she had lived. She was having a hard time financially and her request at the company offices to get her rent reduced was turned down. When she returned to her apartment she found an envelope under the door with cash and a note saying ”Sorry we could not lower your rent, but his may help you&hell
