Four-year-old boy dead after collision in south Edmonton

Edmonton Police say a four-year-old boy died in hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on 44A Avenue near 35 Street around 8:15 p.m. on Friday.
Traffic Section officers are investigating, but no charges are pending.
Paramedics treated the boy, but he was pronounced dead in hospital, according to a news release from police.
The street was taped off for hours as investigators went door-to-door taking witness statements. Police were taking note of a Mazda 3 parked on scene.
