Former PC Rick Fraser running for Alberta Party leadership

Former Progressive Conservative MLA Rick Fraser will cross to the Alberta Party and run for leadership. 
Fraser, member for Calgary-South East, is expected to announce his plans this week. He is already registered as a leadership contestant on the Elections Alberta website.  
Fraser has yet to return multiple requests for comment. 
Fraser left the United Conservative caucus in September to sit as an Independent, two months after the PC and Wildrose parties voted to merge. At
