Fire crews call for extra units to battle Parkdale blaze

Crews were having trouble battling a Parkdale bungalow blaze and had to call in additional units because of the heat and the amount of material stored in the home on Sunday afternoon.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services were called to the home near 116 Avenue and 88 Street at 3:04 p.m. and arrived on scene a couple minutes later, said spokeswoman Maya Filipovic.
She said it took crews approximately 10 minutes to gain entry to the home due to the amount of material stored in the home.
