Evict radon: Researcher seeks homeowners to test for cancer-causing radon

A silent killer is affecting one person a day in Alberta, says a Calgary researcher.
“Here in Alberta, the statistic is that we have one patient a day diagnosed with a radon-associated lung cancer,” said Dr. Aaron Goodarzi, an assistant professor with the University of Calgary’s biochemistry and molecular biology department.
