Eskimos lose White for rest of 2017 season with torn ACL
John White’s Canadian Football League season is over.
The Edmonton Eskimos announced Monday the starting running back tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee on his third carry of the game late in the first quarter of the team’s 23-19 win Friday over the visiting Montreal Alouettes.
Travon Van started at running back for the rest of Friday’s contest at Commonwealth Stadium, running for 50 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
