Elderly driver dies of injuries following August multi-car collision

An elderly driver whose car crashed into several parked vehicles has died as a result of her injuries.
The 86-year-old woman died on Aug. 17 after being transported to the hospital following the collision on Aug. 3.
Police only reported the fatality Monday, a month after the woman died.
According to a news release from city police, the woman was driving a 1996 Toyota Tercel northbound on 109 Street approaching 29 Avenue about 9:30 a.m. when she “failed to negotiate the curving road,”
