Edmonton's safe injection sites look to add staff and capacity due to demand

It’s been five months since the first federally-approved safe injection site opened its doors in the Boyle-McCauley area. In that time, Streetworks staff say they’ve reversed 134 drug overdoses and helped nearly 660 people.
The programs set up at Boyle Street Community Services and the George Spady Centre, which became the evening location when it opened at the end of April, have recorded more than 12,000 visits. The demand is so great that supervised consumption services director Er
