Edmonton's public school enrolment tops 100,000 students

Edmonton’s public schools are running out of places to put some of the 100,000 kids enrolled — especially in the suburbs.
A Sept. 28 head count tallied 101,865 students in the city’s 213 public schools, which is a three per cent jump from September 2017.
“We’re just delighted that parents and families and students are choosing Edmonton public as the place to do their education,” board chairwoman Michelle Draper said in a Friday interview.
