Doreen Ryan — who as a speed skater competed for Canada in two Olympics, is an honoured member of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and was the manager of the athletes village at the Commonwealth Games, Universiade and the Calgary Olympics — is at Kinsmen Sports Centre at 8 a.m., pushing a weighted sled down the track, doing balancing exercises and running stairs.
