Edmonton weather: Waking up to a risk of frostbite is fun

Thursday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station that measured -8.4 C with 7 km/h winds out of the west, southwest contributing to a -12 wind chill.
What was suppose to be a one-off cold-snap has since morphed into a two-day polar plunge. This morning features a -25 wind chill with a risk of frostbite. Things will warm up as the day goes on, though, as we head into a weekend where forecasters are still
