Edmonton weather: There is nothing 'special' about this special weather alert

The first snowfall of the season could hit Edmonton Wednesday, warns an afternoon special weather advisory issued by Environment Canada.
A cool air mass poised to wash over much of Alberta is being blamed for the forecast that heavy, wet snow will fall on parts of the province, including Edmonton, Sherwood Park and St. Albert on Wednesday evening.
Between five and 10 cm of snow is expected to fall as the front passes above, though some regions may get a dump greater than 10 cm.
