Edmonton weather: Extreme cold warning over, but -33 windchill remains
If you don’t have to leave the house today — don’t.
At 10:31 a.m., an Environment Canada extreme cold warning was lifted Sunday for the city of Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park. The warning called for an extreme wind chill bringing temperatures near -40.
Temperatures have since warmed up, but not by much. Environment Canada is still calling for a 15 km/h wind making a daytime high temperature of -15 C feel like -33. Tonight will be no different, as the mercury dips to -23
