Edmonton LRT work going off with a bang

Don’t panic if you hear a big bang Wednesday on Whitemud Drive — it’s part of construction work for the Valley Line LRT.
The TransEd consortium building the project intends to do a pile load test between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to assess the integrity of the LRT bridge planned over the Whitemud at 75 Street, the company said in a news release Tuesday.
