Edmonton lawyer steps out from behind publication ban to speak about sexual assault stigma

An Edmonton lawyer has successfully pushed for the removal of a court-ordered publication ban on his own identity so that he can speak out about his experiences as a survivor of sexual violence as a young teenager. 
“I never really wanted it in place. The reason I wanted it lifted is because I wanted to have the liberty to discuss the issue,” Pierre Asselin said during a recent interview, weeks after his attacker was sentenced.
