Edmonton hands out annual film and music prizes.

Two members of Edmonton’s entertainment scene were each $10,000 richer after the Edmonton Film and Music Prizes for 2017 were awarded Tuesday during a reception at Metro Cinema.
Country singer Dan Davidson won the Music Prize, chiefly for his singles, Found and Barn Burner, which were recently collected on the six-track E.P. Songs For Georgia, released last October.
The Edmonton native was thrilled to pick up the prize.
