Edmonton fentanyl trafficker repentant during sentencing hearing

An Edmonton man who admitted to shipping hundreds of fentanyl pills to Saskatchewan in a Purolator package was repentant in court Friday.
“I am guilty of trafficking fentanyl,” Calvin George Turcsanyi told Justice Paul Belzil at the end of his sentencing hearing. “I have no excuses for my actions.”
Turcsanyi, 38, was sentenced to six years, nine months in prison Friday. With credit for time served in pretrial custody, he has just over four years remaining in his sentence.
