Edmonton feels the cold as polar vortex makes its way west

For a moment it looked like Edmonton might actually escape the clutches of the dreaded polar vortex.
However, it seems Mother Nature has different plans.
Environment Canada issued an extreme cold warning Saturday as temperatures in Edmonton plunged towards the -30 C mark with windchill values ranging from -34 C in the daytime to -41 C overnight.
According to Weather Network meteorologist, Nadine Powell, the blast of arctic air has essentially flipped from hammering much of eastern Canada last we
