Edmonton-based soldiers visit Quebec school of comrade killed in Afghanistan

The overseas death of a Quebec-born soldier stationed in Edmonton sparked a partnership between a Laval school and Alberta soldiers that remains strong nearly a decade later.
The command team of the 3rd battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, will head to Quebec this week for an annual leadership conference and hockey game at the Laval Senior Academy, which “adopted” the battalion in 2009.
