When federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau offered next to nothing in his fall fiscal update Wednesday to help Alberta deal with its worsening oil-price crisis, some observers speculated it was because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would trumpet the good news himself in person on his visit to Calgary the next day.
