Editorial: Keep photo radar focused on safety
Alberta’s transportation minister confirmed last week what many drivers already know — too often photo radar is used as a moneymaker instead of a public-safety tool.
That is obvious every time a driver sees the tell-tale camera flash in the rear-view mirror if they fail to brake quickly enough when a highway approaches a city or town and speed limits drop.
