Dog killed by bear in Jasper National Park

A dog has been killed by a bear in Jasper National Park after jumping out of a car window.
“With heavy hearts, Parks Canada can confirm that a dog did not survive an encounter with a bear Wednesday evening after escaping from a car which had pulled over on the side of the road to view the bear,” park staff posted on Facebook.
