Disagreement over LRT flares as council votes to forge ahead with Valley Line West

A shortlist of contenders vying to build the Valley Line West LRT extension will be announced in May, following a Tuesday city council vote to move the project ahead.
An extra $30.5 million was added onto the project’s budget, bringing the cost of building the line from downtown to Lewis Farms to over $2-billion.
