Crown welcomes new trial in Cindy Gladue case

Alberta’s justice ministry is looking “with great interest” at an Alberta Court of Appeal ruling that called for a “reset” in how judges instruct juries in cases involving sexual assault.
“We’re still examining the decision before we can say too much, and obviously, in this case, the Crown is a party (so) there’s a limited amount that I can say about that, but we’ll be looking at it with great interest,” Justice Minister Kathleen Ganley
