Cold Lake fighter pilot fined for violating National Defence Act

Cold Lake — A fighter pilot received a $2,000 fine at a military court martial Monday after pleading guilty to flying below an altitude less than the minimum height authorized, in violation of the National Defence Act.
However, it could have been worse for Capt. Christopher Mileusnic, based at 4 Wing Cold Lake, if the judge had decided to issue the maximum sentence allowed for such an offence, which could have been imprisonment for less than two years.
