City of Edmonton celebrates youth crosswalk patrollers

More than 5,000 youth who help keep Edmonton crosswalks safe were celebrated by the city on Friday.
The annual Alberta Motor Association school safety patroller appreciation event was held at Edmonton’s Kinsmen Park. Thousands of the Grade 5 and 6 students involved in the program were in attendance. Patrollers help their classmates cross the street safely before and after school at more than 343 Edmonton-area crosswalks during the school year.
