City discusses asbestos management plan

Around 140 of the City of Edmonton’s 650 properties contain asbestos – a material that has been linked to cancer – according to the city’s open data catalogue.
The city’s list, released in late December, was a “natural evolution” of the city’s database, said Paul Specht, Edmonton’s director of facility maintenance.
